Male American Dipper banded in summer of 2002. This male nested at the same site for two years,
but disappeared in the the spring of 2004.

Dipper banded in October of 2002. This dipper was last seen in January
2004, in the same area it was originally banded..

A dipper blink, dippers have white feathers on their eyelids, probably used as a visual signal to other dippers.
