Black Hills Parks and Forests Association
Black Hills Parks and Forests Association (BHPFA) is the non-profit cooperating arm of the National Park Service, National Forest Service, South Dakota Game Fish & Parks, and National Grasslands. Purchases from these sites support interpretive programming.
Custer State Park BookStores
BHPFA operates two locations in Custer State Park -- the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center and the Wildlife Station Visitor Center. Both stores offer a variety of interpretive materials about Custer State Park, the Black Hills, and the people who settled and live here. These publications, maps, and other items are available at the bookstores, by mail order, or from the association website.
All purchases made from the park stores help support interpretive programming at Custer State Park including:
- Visitor Center exhibits
- Internship programs
- Jr. Naturalist Program
- Naturalist-led Programs for visitors
