LIttle Naturalist Programs

These programs are for children ages 2 to 4 years old and their parents or guardians. Toddlers will learn about each theme through games, crafts, stories and songs. Free fun for the little ones.

Nature Craft Mondays

Cost: Free

This is a come and go program for kids of all ages. Kids will be able to make up to 3 nature crafts at each program. Free fun for everyone.

Recycle Art Night

Wed., August 13 - Item to be determined

Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Cost: Free

There will be 3 evenings where you can get together with friends or family to make some incredible art with recyclable products.  This is an adult only program. Each month will have a different art project that can be displayed in your yard. Programs are $15 each. This will help pay for snacks, drinks, and supplies.

Photo Find by Phone Scavenger Hunt

Time: 1-4 p.m.
Cost: Free

Each scavenger hunt will have up to 6 pictures of places or things in nature at Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve. You will have to explore the park and find these locations, take a picture and bring your evidence back to the Visitor Center. If you find all of the items, you will receive a prize. Great way to discover the park and use your technology. Bring a camera instead if you like.

Radical Reptile Program

Join Dan Fogell as he talks about what makes reptiles some of the most unique creatures in nature. Live animals will be on display for everyone to get a closer look at what makes these animals so special. Free fun for the whole family.

Bald Eagle Program

What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend with a program that represents our symbol of freedom. SOAR (Saving Our Avian Resources) will be at Adams Homestead to introduce us to our national bird. Get an up close and personal look at this great bird and learn some interesting facts.
